Dan, how big is the SI CCD on the end of that rig? I'm guessing it's big enough to do away with the adapter altogether?

If the soft would be avail to get ALL data out of my SD10 and write it on a HDD, I would use it in a heart beat. Someday.... when Bayer wil RIP, we will all wonder: how did we "swallow" what we have been fed (and thought was good!) :roll:

Well, I have one of the proto units here as of tonight and all I can say is holy cow. I am utterly and completely impressed with what I see.

Dan has a lot on his plate this week, but I will have more info shortly. Right now, priority one is getting the adapters out.

Please don't plan around the release date for the ff unit as it is definitely going to be a few months.

To be determined. What I can say, is that if all goes well, you won't be able to find a better FF unit for less, anywhere. This is an incredibly elegant, thoughtful design.

High quality, yes, and very well thought out. It's not often I get too excited about a design but it's immediately obvious that Dan has had his hands on a lot of film equipment. There are all kinds of small details in this design, including an incredibly versatile mount, that will make using this unit a real joy. Jeeps, it even has a back lit white board.

I've always found Dan a great inspiration, and in fact, I'm pretty priviledged to have my hands on this stuff.

Thank you Dennis. I learned a bit today about the science of efficiency in manufacturing/assembly/cost,etc (been strugling with the named issues before hearing it was turned it into a science) If I could apply the lesson for this FF, we'll see.
